Our animals lead a natural life with free access to pasture and they reward us with great tasting meat and eggs.On our farm we believe animals should be reared in as natural a way as possible. Cattle and sheep in Ireland enjoy a natural life and for the majority of their lives are free to graze outside.
We believe consumers should have the option to buy locally produced, top quality meat at an affordable price so we decided to set up a food business on our farm. Our produce will be available to buy from mid October. We will be at the Carrick on suir Farmers market every friday from 10 to 14.00 and at Thomastown country market every Saturday from 11.00 to 13.30.
We will stock hubbard chickens and bronze turkeys that will have access to fresh pasture all day to exercise and forage. We will also have farm fresh eggs available for sale in October.
We keep rare breed pigs such as saddle back, large white and gloucester old spot as these thrive outdoors. Our pigs are housed in pig huts in the field and are free to root and roam. Our pigs will be slaughtered and processed locally and we will be selling fresh pork, sausages and puddings, dry cured bacon and hams. To order give us a call, email or call direct to the farm. We can deliver for a small charge within the local area and to surrounding towns including Carrick on suir, Clonmel, Kilkenny and Waterford.
